in the register section it asks for my email address and password but is this password the actual password i use for my yahoo account or a password i can use exclusively for facebook.com?
Help with registering with Facebook?
They are asking for your Facebook password. The only time they would ask for the password to your yahoo account is if you want to tell friends about Facebook from your yahoo address book.
Reply:It is your password for Facebox (new password). But you also can use your old password from Yahoo, g-mail, hot-mail e.t.c.Important is, everytime when the Facebox will check your registration and ask you for log in type e-mail adress and password wich you are ENTER DURING THE FIRST REGISTRATION. Veradisca %26amp; Best Regards, Neven.
Reply:just enter your email address and then password that you want to use when you will log in to facebook.
Reply:Exclusively for Facebook.com
They do not need your yahoo e-mail password, but you can use the same one if you want!
Reply:w/e password you want to use for facebook!
Reply:That's one that you use just for facebook. After you register, on the page that comes up when you log in there is a thing that asks for your e-mail and then EMAIL password, that is your Yahoo! e-mail password. (it is just so that you can find friends that already have Facebook or to invite friends that don't have Facebook.)

How do you alter the appearance of Facebook profiles? can you move the "Wall" & "mini feed" up/down the page?
The reason i ask is because yesterday i logged onto my facebook account, only to find that whenever i view someones profile the "wall" now appears at the top of the page, while the "mini feed" has been relegated to the bottom. Also, where it would normally say "Write something" at the top of the wall, there is now a box allowing my to write a message directly to the wall. I started a facebook group to see if anyone else on facebook is having the same problems. http://www.facebook.com/group.php?gid=22...
This page has a few photos to illustrate what im talking about.
If anyone has any idea how this could have happened, and if there are any settings i need to change in order to get it back to normal, your reply will be much appreciated! As far as i know, no one else is having this problem (except one of my friends reporting the same issue)
Thanks

My facebook page was like yours for a couple of weeks, but just changed back to the mini-feed on top and the wall on the bottom yesterday. I didn't change any of my settings during this time, so I assumed that facebook just changed their layout again.

Anyone with a facebook account help me out?
take a look at this profile picture and tell me, from a purely physical standpoint, if you think either of the people look like they're too good for the other or vice versa. i know it seems kinda shallow, but they're two friends of mine and id like to know what you guys think.

They're people. Looks mean nothing.
Reply:The picture is very tiny because we can't get into their profile, so you can't really see anything.

I personally don't like adding applications to my Facebook, but a lot of my friends have this application and it's just for fun so it can't hurt to add it if you just want to play around with it and see what it is.
Reply:yes, many of my friends have it

What can anyone tell me about Facebook?
www.facebook.com Has anyone here ever used it? Is it worth it? Fees? Pop ups? Spam? Thanks!
What can anyone tell me about Facebook?
I've used it for a couple years now. I've never encountered any pop-ups. There are no fees - it is 100% free. There is no spam associated with it either. It's a really good way to connect you with your friends/peers for purposes of keeping track of people as well as networking. I've gotten in touch with a lot of people through facebook that I'd lost touch with. Also, it shows you what people you %26amp; your friends have in common, which is interesting. I've found that some of my friends know some of my other friends %26amp; I had no idea! Since it's free, I say at least give it a shot. If you don't like it, you don't have to keep doing it.
Reply:facebook is a way for people to stay connected. if you move away from your friends and can't call all the time. facebook is for you. all you need is an internet connection and an account. its easy to sign up and its free. you can meet new people and stay connected with all of your friends in high school, college or even work.
Reply:It's free, has no popups (that I've encountered, but I use Firefox web browser), and I've received no spam from it.
It's good for what it was made for, which is keeping students in touch with eachother. Think of it like a yearbook on steroids. Beyond that, I wouldn't say it's necessarily better than any other similar site.
Reply:Sucks. Try Hi5.com
Its better
Reply:Facebook.com can be a wonderful tool for keeping in touch with friends, especially if you are signing up through a school. Due to its growing popularity, the chance of finding friends on it is increasing. People from elementary school who I haven't seen for years have been finding me on Facebook.
As for fees, there are none. There are certain paid things that you can do, such as a e-flyer that you can send to your friends. The only advertising so far is a small banner on the left side of the screen. It's not very large, so it works out well. Facebook doesn't send spam, or at least not in my experience.
All in all, I think that it is a great thing to invest some time in.

I do - sign up and then you can invite your friends using your e-mail account and they will get an e-mail requesting to be your friends... after they accept you you can see their profiles and send each other virtual drinks, gifts, flowers, fish, very cool stuff! You can type your friends names to search for them too.
