I need to get a profile on facebook.com but I think someone has to invite me. is there anyone willing to invite, otherwise, how would I go about getting a profile.

Go to the site, then sign up. You have to goiong to one the schools listed though for you to be able to sign-up. You can sign-up only using the email address you get from the college or university you go to.
